Rebecca Montag is a journalist, documentary filmmaker, writer, editor, and director of photography. Following her graduation from Northwestern University with a degree in Radio/Television/Film, she worked on a variety of projects from California to Bolivia to Israel. Through this process, she discovered her love of documentary as a means to storytelling and social change. She studied in Bolivia and spent time teaching photography to children, the subjects of her film Lentes de plata: Lost niños del Cerro Rico (Silver Lenses: the Children of Cerro Rico). Rebecca worked on various projects as a writer, associate producer, and director of photography for Jed Riffe Films + Electronic Media in Berkeley, CA where she also associate produced, wrote, and edited the Africana Interactive Media Center for Merritt College in Oakland, CA. She later spent a year in Bolivia and worked on the short documentary film La Principita de los Andes in La Paz, Bolivia. She has lived in Israel for the past three years, working for a number of media and news outlets. She now is Deputy Managing Web Editor at The Jerusalem Post.
