Rebecca Montag is a documentary filmmaker, writer, editor, and director of photography. She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Radio/Television/Film. During her time there she shot a wide variety of student films and discovered her love of documentary as a means to storytelling and social change. She studied in Bolivia and spent some time teaching photography to children, the subjects of her film Lentes de plata: Lost niños del Cerro Rico (Silver Lenses: the Children of Cerro Rico). Rebecca worked on various projects as a writer, associate producer, and director of photography for Jed Riffe Films + Electronic Media in Berkeley, CA where she also associate produced, wrote, and edited the Africana Interactive Media Center for Merritt College in Oakland, CA. Rebecca hopes to use documentary film to connect people around the world, sharing the human stories that can truly make a difference.
